We offer music classes in a friendly and welcoming environment, designed around exploring the best children's stories through live music, singing, movement and exploration. Founded from a deep love of understanding the impact that music has on the cognitive abilities of babies and young children, 'Ditty Dots' was born.

Our baby class (newborn to 1year) heavily embeds sensory learning into the sessions as children engage in simple action songs and rhyme. We will use lights, bubbles, sound and feel to expose the babies to the wonderful world of the Arts. The class is relaxed; whether your baby is sleeping, crying, laughing or mesmerised, they will be embraced!

 

Our toddler classes (ages 1 & 2) focus around exploring music as a tool to encourage speech; each week will have a different theme based on a wonderful children's book. Through singing and movement, we will venture into the deep dark woods, the biggest rainforests and go hunting for a very scary bear! Songs, instruments and movement are the heart of this session; used to enhance the learning and understanding of the stories.

Our mixed class (sitting - toddling, approx 6m - 14m) combines key elements from both the babies and toddlers class. The structure and teaching is similar however this session includes both sensory and play elements to engage and stimulate all children. 

 

Let's not forget the grown ups! Each venue has been specifically chosen with a great social space nearby, whether that be a park or cafe, allowing you time to socialise, make new friendships, or just have a bit of support during those foggy days.
